Born in New York City in 1970, Rommel Alama is an award-winning freelance Art Director based in Brooklyn, New York. He formerly served as Art Director for XXL Magazine and The Improper Bostonian Magazine, and as Associate Art Director at Time Out New York, New York Magazine and Omni Magazine.

He has handled design projects for Marvel Comics, Esquire, Entertainment Weekly, TV Guide, Scholastic Inc., Musical Chairs Chamber Ensemble, and USA Networks, and has received awards from the Society of Publication Designers and Print Magazine.
