Dr. Inna Mattei has successfully blended the careers of an academic expert and hands-on consultant. She holds a Masters in Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from Harvard University's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Mattei's interests include post-Communist societies, transitional societies, globalization, social media, youth movements, identity-formation, meaning-making, and national security.

Inna Mattei is a published poet, whose poetry appeared in “Writing the World on Globalization” published by MIT Press. She has spent significant time overseas in Russia, Bosnia, Ukraine, Hungary, and Germany.

She has worked for Bertelsmann Media and Thomson-Reuters in New York and Ernst & Yong in Boston. She completed internships with Transparency International in Berlin and with The Moscow Times newspaper in Moscow. At Booz Allen, Dr. Mattei handles matters that combine her interests in international relations, strategy, and socio-cultural factors.

Dr. Mattei has provided strategy and branding advice to Apogee since 2004. She is presently advising Apogee on strategic repositioning and rebranding building on its historic patterns of successful international growth.
