The Foundation seeks to identify the world's most gifted emerging artists as early as possible in their career cycles to provide maximum benefits for their future. Agramakov was selected as one of the youngest Apogee Merit Scholars ever at the age of 10. As a result of his outstanding series of performances at Apogee's Music Festival later in the same year, he was re-selected by the festival jury to continue as an Apogee Merit Scholar for another full term.
For more information, see the Foundation's 3 October 2006 news release.
Pianist Vladislav Agramakov became only the second Apogee Merit Scholar music laureate ever selected at the age of 10 when a jury co-chaired by the Minister of Culture for Odessa Province, the Director of the Stolyarsky School and the President of the Apogee Foundation selected him for this honor during the 2005/2006 academic year.
For more information, see the Foundation's 13 June 2006 press release.
He also was subsequently selected by the jury at Apogee's first International Music Festival in Odessa as a Performance Award laureate and an Apogee Merit Scholar for the ensuing 2006/2007 academic year.
