Israel Award for Excellence in the Performing Arts
Haifa, Israel
Pianist Tomer Gewirtzman became the inaugural recipient of the Israel Award fo Excellence in the Performing Arts and Apogee's first laureate in the Middle East during the 2006/2007 academic year.
Tomer studies at the Haifa Rubin Conservatorium and also as a private student with Professor Vadim Monastirsky in Tel Aviv. He 2001 he won the Ashdod Young Pianist Competition and in 2005 he took first prize in the Chopin Competition in Tel Aviv.
