Sergey Maiboroda
Apogee Merit Scholar and Performance Award Laureate

Violinist Sergey Maiboroda was selected as one of the first Apogee Merit Scholars from the Stolyarsky State Music School in Odessa, Ukraine, when a jury co-chaired by the Minister of Culture for Odessa Province, the Director of the Stolyarsky School and the President of the Apogee Foundation selected him for this honor during the 2005/2006 academic year.

As an Apogee Merit Scholar, Maiboroda was automatically invited to participate in Apogee's first International Music Festival in Odessa in September of 2006, where the festival jury additionally selected him for one of 15 Performance Awards provided at the conclusion of the event.
