Rinat Ismailov

Prior to the official naming and categorization of Apogee Foundation Scholarship awards, on the request and recommendation of his instructors and the agreement of Apogee's principals, Rinat Ismailov was given the opportunity to take part in an Apogee summer intensive program at the conclusion of the 2000/2001 academic year.
Rinat is shown participating in this intensive program in the above scanned photo from the Foundation archives.
During the following academic year, Ismailov was selected as the top male student in his class level of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and granted the corresponding Apogee Merit Scholarship. On the further recommendation of his instructors and the agreement of the choreographers, he also was selected to perform in original works commissioned and produced by the Foundation during that same academic year.
