Wang Chun was one of the first three Apogee Merit Scholars selected in China. He is a student at the Central Conservatory Music School in Beijing, where he studies with Apogee Achievement Award laureate Professor Zhang Jin, who is director of the Piano Department at the Central Conservatory.

Wang Chun's awards include 1st Prize at the 5th International Piano Competition for Young Pianists “A step towards mastery” held in St. Petersburg, Russia, as well as 1st Prize at the 8th Internationl VLADIMIR KRAINEV Piano Competition for Young Pianists held in Kharkov, Ukraine, and 1st Prize at the Villa-Lobos International Piano Competition held in São Paulo, Brazil. Most recently, Wang won the 2nd prize at the 10th Rencontre Internationale des Jeunes Pianistes Grand Prix Animato in Paris, France.

Wang Chun has performed with St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kharkov Philharmonic, the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo as well as other orchestras.
