Boris Myasnikov was the recipient of Apogee's first Apogee Merit Scholarship provided at the Perm State Ballet School in the 1999/2000 academic year. He also then became the first recipient of the Foundation's Rising Star Award following his selection by the Perm State faculty as the Schools' top 2004 graduate.
Based on these distinctions, as well as Myasnikov's record of achievement in winning major competitions in Russia and abroad, as well as his outstanding success as a performer with the Stanislavsky Ballet in Russia and around the world, Myasnikov also was selected by an expert Apogee jury to receive a special edition of the Rising Star Award as the top former student beneficiary from Perm State, marking completion of the fifth annual cycle of Apogee awards made available to Perm State students and faculty.
