Apogee Merit Scholar: Dance and Music (Violin)

Born in Moscow but training his entire career in New York in 1997 Artur Kaganovskiy became: (1) the first ever Apogee Merit Scholar, before this award even had its current name, (2) the only Apogee laureate ever to receive awards in two different spheres of the performing arts: in this case, for his outstanding potential in both dance and music during his simultaneous studies at both the School of American Ballet and the Manhattan School of Music, and (3) the youngest ever Apogee award laureate, at the age of nine. He went on to a student career of great distinction and now is continuing his studies at Juilliard in preparation for the launch of his professional career.
